LIVINGSTON RESTORE II

Livingston Restore II is a grant program that provides assistance to elderly homeowners who need emergency repairs to their homes.  Residential Emergency Service to Offer Repairs to the Elderly (RESTORE) grants are used to address a wide variety of health and safety issues, including frozen or broken water pipes, failed septic systems, leaking roofs and inoperable furnaces.

ELIGIBILITY GUIDELINES

• All Program eligibility guidelines will be followed                  

• Homeowner must live in Livingston County

• Homeowner must be 60 years of age or older

• Home must be single-family owner-occupied

• Household income cannot exceed the following limits:

TYPE OF ASSISTANCE

• Funds are used for emergency repairs only.

• This program is being administered in collaboration with Livingston County Office for the Aging, Livingston County Department of Social Services, Livingston County Department of Health and Genesee Region Independent Living Center.

AMOUNT OF GRANTS

• Grant amount varies according to the household's income.

• Maximum grant for households under 50% of HUD's Median Income is $7,500.

AREA ELIGIBILITY

• Home must be in Livingston County.
